In Kenya, football (soccer) is the most popular sport, followed by rugby and boxing. However, Kenyans are most famous internationally for long-distance running. Kenyans, especially from the Kalenjin people, regularly win marathons and every other long-distance event. Catherine Ndereba is Kenyan and has won the Boston Marathon four times. Her nickname is “Catherine the Great”!
